Hej hej, alla

We are Koen and Sabine, and we’d like to introduce ourselves.

We are originally from Belgium and have been active in the vibrant restaurant scene for many years. For as long as we can remember, we have a special connection with Sweden. What started as a holiday full of discovery, grew into a deep love for the North. It’s a place where we and our two sons feel our hearts truly belong.

About Us: Our Journey To The North

Two people in winter clothing with fur-lined hoods smiling in a snowy forest, with snow-covered trees and a sunset sky in the background.

For a long time, we dreamed of having our own place in Sweden. In 2014 that dream became a reality. After quite a search, we came upon an old farm in the cosy village of Öratjärndalen. Here, we decided to create our new home with the help of local craftsmen.

After many years of building, furnishing, and shaping the lodge, it now stands as a beautiful space we are proud of. Since the area is home to many moose, the name “Moose Lodge” felt like the perfect choice.

Recently, we spend more time in Sweden, and we decided to fully restore a more than 120 -year old timmerhus on our property for ourselves.

We want to share The Moose Lodge with people from all over the world. Thanks to our many years of experience in hospitality, we know exactly how to give our guests a warm welcome and make them feel truly relaxed.

For us, this is more than just a holiday home. It’s a place to unwind, enjoy nature, and embrace the peace and quiet. It’s a place where we feel completely at home.

Join us, and let us share this experience!
